We killed Kalenjins because they were violent. We killed Kambas because they were traitors. We killed Kisiis and Luhyas whom we thought should have known better than live in districts that are not their own. We killed Kikuyus because they are money-hungry thieves who stole an election. And once we no longer know that we are human, it doesn't matter whether we live or die. We can kill without a blink and not be moved by the blood we spill. And we expect to die by deluding ourselves that injustice is fate or God's will.
